Registration

To enroll in the Certificate of Basic Professional Culinary Skills program, applicants must have earned either a high school diploma or a GED, or must pass an entrance exam administered by SDCI.

Students may enroll in an individual course provided they satisfy the prerequisites or meet the skill level and have approval of the Site Manager. Enrollment is on a space-available basis.

Classes are offered on both a Full-Time or Part-Time basis, and both day and evening classes are offered. Course schedules are designed to allow students to work while attending school.

Full-Time Attendance:

  • 8 hours per day, 3 days per week, 8am - 5pm, Mon/Wed/Fri

  •  
    Part-Time Attendance:
  • 8 hours per day, 2 days per week, 8am - 5pm, Tue/Thu

  • 4 hours per day, 3 days per week, 6pm - 10pm, Mon/Wed/Fri

  • 4 hours per day, 2 days per week, 6pm - 10pm, Tue/Thu
