A Picnic in the Park



Summer Cooking: Extend your summer cooking repertoire. Classes are from 10am-2pm.

Basic Skills Series: Chef Kurt Waeffler is one of SDCI's own instructors. Learn the classical French techniques for making stocks, soups, and sauces. Classes are from 10am-2pm

Italian Series: Taught by Nadia Frigeri one of SDCI's most popular instructors, a native Italian chef who loves to share her passion for Italian Cuisine with others. Cook along with her and enjoy the results with your classmates. Classes are from 10am-2pm.

Asian Series: Instructor Risa Picone returns to SDCI with more yummy Asian recipes. Classes are from 10am-2pm.

Knife Skills:  Learn to slice, dice and mince like a professional. Learn the proper way to sharpen and care for your knives. This class will be taught by one of our professional chef instructors. The class is from 10am-noon.

Cooking for Couples Series
will be taught by one of SDCI's graduates, Jenny Stepenski. Jenny was born in Mexicoand graduated from the Universidad de Mexicoin Mexico Citywith a degree in Culinary Arts. After emigrating to the U.S. Jenny attended SDCI and was one of our first graduates. Since graduating she has worked at Croce's and the Marriott Hotel. Presently she is a personal chef and teaches cooking classes for couples. We invited her to teach her classes at SDCI. Prices are cost per couple bring your honey or bring a friend.  Classes are from 10am-2pm.

Kids and teens cooking classes are scheduled for Saturdays from noon till 2pm.ÊYou can fill the class with 10 and have a private session; you can inquire about other dates and make special menu requests.ÊWe can design classes for younger chefs from 10 years to 14.ÊThe classes scheduled below will accommodate chefs from 10 years of age to 14.
